Animals have been a natural part of the Taunus Wunderland park since its inception. Embedded in our natural and lovingly designed landscaped areas, they are a special highlight for many visitors - be it the curious pony in the enclosure, the chicken clucking at the edge of the path or the colorful parrot cheekily calling "hello".
A home for animals in need
In recent years, Taunus Wunderland has consistently developed its animal husbandry. Today, we almost exclusively take in animals from animal welfare organizations or from private homes where species-appropriate care was no longer possible. Since 2024, it has been our clear goal to offer animals in need a safe and permanent home.
Whether parrots with a troubled past, ponies with special needs or poultry from poor husbandry - with us they find a place to live where they can stay. In cooperation with various animal welfare organizations, we ensure that our animals are not only safely housed, but also individually cared for and looked after.
With heart and dedication
The entire Taunus Wunderland team puts its heart and soul into the welfare of our animals. Animal care, species-appropriate feeding, veterinary care and above all: attention and patience - all this is a matter of course for us.
Would you like to be even closer to our animal residents? Then become an animal sponsor at Taunus Wunderland! With a sponsorship, you become part of the story of a special animal - be it a pony, parrot or goat.
Here, our female alpaca, Lotte, is smiling at the camera. Starting recently, you can join her and her four other friends on the Alpaca Park Tour.
A winter photo of our miniature pony mare, Sia. Our “chubby one” has grown a really thick coat to protect herself from the cold. But after brushing out that winter coat, she looks back to her normal self 😁
Our impressive peacock, “Lord Saphir,” goes out of his way to impress the ladies with his courtship display. A real charmer 😍
He lives near the horses, but if you keep an eye out, you’ll spot him wandering around the park.
Here is our bottle-fed lamb, Shaun. He’s very curious and loves to be petted. If you’re lucky, you can watch him greedily drinking from his bottle.
This is Heidi. No matter how high we build the fence for our one-year-old pygmy goat Heidi, she always finds a way to climb over it so she can interact directly with our visitors.
With this donation, you are supporting our “From Egg to Chicken” project, which allows our visitors to watch a chick hatch live in our display incubator and see these chicks grow up in our chick house.
As a sponsor, you’ll receive…
…a personalized sponsorship certificate
…and, as a special highlight: our annual sponsor celebration, featuring free admission to Taunus Wunderland, exclusive guided tours of the enclosures, hands-on animal activities, and much more!
A sponsorship isn't just a donation—it's a special connection. It shows your appreciation for our animals and gives you a behind-the-scenes look at our work.
