In the middle of the woods, surrounded by lush greenery and pure nature, lives a wondrous species: as big as bears but as pious as lambs. The sweetest creatures you can imagine. Friendly, cheerful, funny. Always there when you need them and always ready for a new adventure: the Muckel.
It all began in the Muckelsburg. The head of the family, Muckel, still lives here today with the mayoress Betty. When you enter Taunus Wunderland, you arrive directly in the village, where you will meet them and feel right at home. They love visitors and greet everyone as if they were part of the family.
But Muckel and Betty are not the only ones in the big Muckel family. Throughout Taunus Wunderland you will find other relatives of the two and each one will be happy to show you how they live and what they do:
Hey you! We are Rosi, Muckel, Betty, Uncle Benno, Grandpa Alfred and Arya - the mascots at Taunus Wunderland. We would be sooo happy to get to know you! Come along and become part of the Muckel family!

For over 50 years, fun for the whole family in the midst of nature has been on our agenda. Many families visit us out of tradition and have actively accompanied the changes in Taunus Wunderland from an animal and fairytale park to a modern amusement park.
Here, you get on a ride with your family for the first time and experience a fast-paced ride over hill and dale, swinging in circles or refreshing in the water channel - experiences made here together with dad, mom, grandpa or grandma are among the highlights in the family album! In our family park, the generations should shine with the sun.
At Taunus Wunderland, the Muckel are on the loose, because they look after everything and make sure that everyone has as much fun as possible here. They are our mascots and nobody knows how this lovable species got lost in the Taunus. Divided into five themed areas, Grandpa Alfred's Dinotal, Aunt Rosi's Sugar Plum Land, Uncle Benno's Farm, Muckelsdorf and the new themed area around Arya, we now have over 60 attractions for children aged between 3 and 14 - and for all those who can't get enough!
The success of Taunus Wunderland is based on the passion and commitment of the operating family, who are already the 5th generation of showmen with heart and soul, as well as the skills of the employees who work for us. As an attractive employer with more than 150 people in the Rhine-Main economic region, we bear responsibility.
As a family business, we are proud to offer people and their families career prospects in their home environment. Our motivation is to make unforgettable experiences possible for the whole family. And that to the highest perfection.
As a regional company in the heart of nature, we are committed to protecting the environment and preserving it for future generations. We comply with social and environmental laws, directives and guidelines and continuously strive to improve our contribution to a society based on the principles of sustainable development.
Duty-conscious, ecological and sustainable action is a matter of course for us. By this we mean constantly working to save energy, reduce exhaust fumes and noise and protect the soil.
In addition, we largely dispense with individual packaging and negotiate special container sizes with our suppliers. We are continuously working on an almost plastic-free concept, so avoiding plastic crockery and cutlery is one of the main tasks of our sustainability concept. We already use environmentally friendly paper at our checkouts.
Although the family travels the world with their world's largest mobile roller coaster, they are at home just outside Wiesbaden and have deep ties to the city. They are "medium-sized companies with roots", regional employers and responsible clients when it comes to awarding contracts. The motto is: regional first! Regional sources of supply are particularly important to us in order to support local producers, protect the environment through short transportation routes and guarantee a high-quality origin.
As a member of the local community, we want to live up to our role as a responsible company. We do this in a variety of ways, through donations, volunteering, collaborations and support for youth sports and community relations programs.
Our attractions are inspected and approved annually by TÜV. Our employees on the rides receive regular training, as the safety of our guests is our top priority.
By means of regular and unannounced inspections - by ourselves or certified companies - we ensure that all rules and regulations in our catering areas are actually adhered to. We work closely with the relevant authorities and agencies as well as the voluntary food control authorities.
